-Your Freeport Library Card
Library Cards are available free of charge to any person who lives, works, or goes to school in Freeport. Freeport residents/Property Owners and their children are eligible for a three-year card and may borrow all types of library materials. These cards include the Direct Access privileges which allow the holder to borrow books directly from the other 51public libraries in Nassau County.
Freeport Business Owners and Employees are eligible for a one-year card and may borrow all types of library materials. However, Direct Access is not available on this card.
Any child who attends school in Freeport but does not reside in either the Freeport School District or the Village of Freeport is eligible for a one-year card without Direct Access privileges.
All cardholders have access to the Library’s online resources, including our research databases and downloadable audiobooks and ebooks.
