The Library has a free trial for a product called RomanceBookCloud that includes unrestricted access to a huge selection of romance books. Nothing is downloaded to your computer or device; the books are read online through a proprietary reader. Click on the image to the right to get started. When you find a title that appeals to you, click on it and begin reading by clicking the "Read Online" icon. This trial will end on August 31.
On July 31, Library patrons had a three-course lunch aboard restored 1920s Pullman dining cars as part of a train and riverboat sightseeing excursion.
The Freeport Chamber of Commerce is excited to present the Freeport Flock of Cranes, which will showcase ornamental crane statues designed by members of our community and sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and individuals. The cranes will be on display in public spaces throughout Freeport, including four at the Library, for the summer and will be removed in September to be auctioned off during the fall of 2018. The money raised will go to the LI Association for Children with Downs Syndrome.
If you or your business are interested in sponsoring a crane for $300, please contact the Freeport Chamber of Commerce at email@example.com. Sponsors will have their names displayed on a plaque alongside the artist’s name and title of the piece.

Freeport Memorial Library cardholders may select up to four seed packets per day from our display. Bring them to the ASK Desk to check them out to your account. There are no due dates, and nothing needs to be returned - just plant the seeds and watch them grow! Borrowers are encouraged to harvest the seeds at the end of the growing season.
Email photos of what you have grown to firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please include "seed library" in the subject.)
