Freeport Favorites Adult Summer Reading Club
June 2 - August 4
All adults, age 18 and older, who join will have an opportunity to win prizes in our every-other-week drawing. Join us on Monday, August 11, to share a snack and hear about the books others have read over the summer. Prizes will be awarded to our top three readers. Sign up anytime at the ASK Desk. Read books in any format and then fill out your entry form for the raffle! Fill out the review form so we can post it in the Senior sitting area for all to see.

Maxwell Corydon Wheat, Jr.’s grandmother, Mary Channell Stevens, a published poet, in 1902 founded the public library in Waynesboro, Virginia. For 20 years Wheat has conducted writing workshops in the Port Washington and Syosset Public Libraries for Taproot Writing Workshops, Inc., for participants 55 and more years. He conducts nature poetry writing workshops for Friends of Hempstead Plains at Nassau Community College and the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center at Jones Beach State Park.

Better World Books
The Freeport Memorial Library can now accept book donations in our new book drop from Better World Books. This book drop is located near the rear entrance of the Library. The books are sold, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
Please note that this book drop is for donations only; do not return Library materials in this book drop.
